Fernando Tatis Jr. Leading Off On Thursday
1 year agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. is serving as the designated hitter and is batting leadoff for the Friars on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Luis L. Ortiz. Ha-Seong Kim, who had hit leadoff the last couple days, will drop to seventh in the batting order while starting at second base. With the flailing Padres looking to avoid a sweep on the road, they'll use the 24-year-old in the top spot in the order. Tatis has been one of the team's best hitters this season, batting .280 (70-for-250) with 15 homers, 36 RBI, 14 steals and 43 runs scored. He's also hit .302 (51-for-169) with 12 doubles, 11 homers, 23 RBI and 10 steals in 41 games out of the leadoff spot. Tatis remains a no-doubt, must-start in fantasy.
