Evan Engram Ruled Out For Second Straight Game
3 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (calf) has been ruled out for the second straight game for the Thursday night matchup with the Washington Football Team in Week 2. The Giants said that Engram is making some progress, but fantasy managers shouldn't have realistically been expecting him to play on a short week after sitting out the Week 1 season-opening loss to the Denver Broncos. Engram has been a favorite target of quarterback Daniel Jones when healthy, but he just hasn't been able to stay on the field consistently. With Engram out in Week 1, Kyle Rudolph played 77 percent of the offensive snaps, next to Kaden Smith's 47.5 percent. Rudolph caught two of his five targets for just eight yards. He has some red-zone utility, but he'll be a touchdown-or-bust TE2 for Thursday's game against a strong Washington D.
