Joe Gibbs Racing driver Erik Jones was passed on Lap 144 by teammate Denny Hamlin at the Gander RV 400 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday, and Jones had to settle for second place. He entered with consecutive third-place runs at Kentucky and New Hampshire, so Jones has been right on the brink of winning. Jones scooted up to 13th in the standings, including his cushion to 39 points over Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson, who is in 17th place. Next up is a trip to Watkins Glen, and Jones has finished fifth and 10th in two career Cup starts at the New York road course.--Daniel DobishRead More News
