Eric Weddle Announces Retirement
5 years agoLos Angeles Rams safety Eric Weddle announced his retirement from football on his social media on Thursday. The 35-year-old played 13 seasons for the Chargers, Ravens and Rams. He just recently underwent his first surgery of his career this month, a meniscus trim in his knee. In 210 career games, Weddle made six Pro Bowls, was a five-time All-Pro, recorded 1,235 total tackles, made 30 interceptions, had 103 passes defensed, recorded 11.5 sacks, had 41 tackles for loss, five touchdowns, eight forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries. In his heyday, Weddle was one of the best all-around safeties in the game.
