Eddie Rosario 2020 Player Outlook: High Floor in Strong Lineup
5 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario had a career season in 2019, putting up strong numbers in runs (91), RBI (109), and home runs (32) while also posting a respectable .276 batting average. Rosario’s relative success could be attributed to the fact that he missed the ball at a career-low rate (14.6% strikeout rate vs a career 19.4%) while also posting a career-high hard hit rate of 38.8%. Further, Rosario hit in the middle of a lineup that had the league’s second-highest OPS and most RBI. While the Twins will be without Jonathan Schoop and C.J. Cron, they still maintain the core of their lineup and should be formidable at the plate once again, helping Rosario's value. Rosario isn’t the flashiest fantasy player, but is currently being overlooked by quite a bit in fantasy drafts (average ADP 90.7). He has top-50 potential given his level of consistency and the lineup around him, making him a steal in the early 90’s pick range.
