Eagles Not Going After Alvin Kamara

There's a rumor flying around that the Philadelphia Eagles are trying to trade for New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, but that's not the case, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. It's possible that Kamara's camp is looking for a way to get the word out that he'd like a new situation. The 27-year-old has already missed two games this year due to injury and is also likely facing a suspension next year for a brawl in Las Vegas earlier this year. Any team that acquired him would inherit a contract that has three years left. The Eagles already have a crowded backfield with Miles Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott, so they don't really have a need there. Kamara has 77 carries for 351 yards and no touchdowns while catching 24 of 35 targets for 191 yards through the air in five games in 2022.
