Drew Lock 2022 NFL Player Outlook – Likely Starter With Limited Superflex Value
3 years agoFormer Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock was traded to the Seattle Seahawks as a part of the blockbuster Russell Wilson trade. He is the slight favorite to win the starting quarterback job – if he survives the Jimmy Garoppolo to Seattle rumors. In 24 career games, Lock has thrown just 25 touchdown passes to 20 interceptions and failed to be a relevant fantasy football option. Even with star wideouts DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, it's tough to envision a vast improvement in an offense that ranked 32nd in pass plays per game a season ago. Seattle's offense has been criticized for its old-school style of play, and if Pete Carroll never let Russ cook, how can we expect Lock to light up the scoreboard? Still, any starting quarterback has a place on rosters in Superflex leagues, and at his current ADP of QB30, he costs next to nothing and could be a placeholder in your QB3 spot. It wouldn't be shocking if he had a few decent outings, but he's far from reliable as a season-long option.
