4 years agoThe New Orleans Saints aren't planning to put quarterback Drew Brees (lung, ribs) on Injured Reserve, but he's currently set to miss multiple starts. ESPN is reporting that Brees is suffering from broken ribs and a collapsed lung after a hard hit in the Week 10 win over the 49ers. The 41-year-old future Hall of Famer could make it back within three weeks, but his fantasy managers are looking at a multi-week absence at the very least. The Saints surely want to have Brees as healthy as possible heading into the playoffs. Jameis Winston relieved Brees on Sunday against San Fran, and he's likely to see a start in Week 11 against the Falcons. He'll be a popular waiver-wire pickup and could be a high-end QB2 against Atlanta, depending on how much they use Taysom Hill in tandem with Winston under center.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
