Drew Brees Likely Out At Least Two Weeks
4 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (ribs, lung) is dealing with cracked ribs on both sides and a punctured lung, and he'll likely be out at least two weeks. There was no change in his status after additional tests on Tuesday, according to sources. Jameis Winston is expected to see plenty of playing time in the next two weeks, although Taysom Hill will also be sprinkled in as well. Winston took over for Brees after his injury in Week 10, with Hill playing a bigger role on third downs and running situations. Head coach Sean Payton is playing things close to his chest as to how he'll approach the QB position against the Falcons in Week 11. Winston will be the more attractive QB2 option for fantasy managers, but his ceiling could be capped if Hill sees his fair share of packages as well.
