Donovan Mitchell Gets A Sniff Of A Triple-Double
2 years agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell came extremely close to his first career triple-double Friday night, finishing a 106-101 loss to the Warriors with 29 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. He also collected two steals and one block in the game while having three turnovers in 37 minutes. Mitchell shot a solid 10-for-20 from the floor and hit three shots from deep with 10 attempts. Darius Garland's return was supposed to slow Mitchell down a bit, but that clearly hasn't happened, with the three-time All-Star averaging 32.5 points per game in four outings since Garland came back from an eye injury. He's scoring very efficiently at the minute, and this could turn out to be a very special campaign for Mitchell, with him being among the league's best scorers and not showing any signs of slowing down.
