Dolphins Waive Jordan Howard
4 years agoThe Miami Dolphins waived running back Jordan Howard on Monday, according to a source. Howard was a healthy scratch in Week 10 against the Chargers after serving as the lead back in Week 9 with Myles Gaskin on Injured Reserve. After being a key offseason acquisition, Howard totaled just 28 carries for 33 yards and four touchdowns in five games for Miami this year. The veteran back could get picked up by another team fairly quickly and could find himself in a short-yardage role elsewhere, so keep an eye on where he lands. Rookie Salvon Ahmed looked great in the lead-back role on Sunday in the win over the Chargers, going for 85 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. He'll be a popular waiver-wire pickup this week with Gaskin out for at least one more game.
