Devaughn Vele 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Second-Year Slot Man Facing Uphill Battle for Fantasy Relevance
Devaughn Vele produced decent numbers with 41 receptions, 475 yards and three touchdowns on 55 targets in 13 regular-season games (seven starts) in 2024. However, expecting Vele to improve on those numbers in 2025 and beyond might be a stretch. He's old (27) for a second-round player and is only an average athlete. Although Vele could be Denver's primary slot weapon, it's worth noting that the team drafted Pat Bryant and added veteran tight end Evan Engram to the fold, which will make things more difficult for Vele as he tries to carve out a bigger role. He will also be facing competition for targets and playing time with big-play wideout Marvin Mims Jr. and second-year receiver Troy Franklin.
