Desmond Ridder Surrounded With Better Weapons
2 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons have bolstered their offensive skill positions entering the 2023 season after two years of salary cap issues. Their offense is expected to be more balanced than the run-heavy approach they had last year, with the focus on tight ends Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith, wide receiver Drake London and running backs Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier. The Falcons are setting up second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder for success with a plethora of options around him on offense. Aside from Smith, Mack Hollins, Scotty Miller and Cordarrelle Patterson, all of the players are still on rookie contracts as well. Ridder acquitted himself well in his rookie season when he took over as the starter late in the year, and he has the weapons to take another leap forward in 2023.
