DeSean Jackson 2018 Outlook: Primed For A Bounce Back Or Into The Twilight
6 years agoIn his first season in Tampa Bay, DeSean Jackson was a disappointment due to inconsistent quarterback play and his own inconsistent play. He comes in to 2018 looking to bounce back from a season in which he only caught 50 passes for 668 yards and three touchdowns. His 13.7 yards per catch was 3.6 yards less than his career average as the inaccuracy of Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick nullified Jackson's usage as a downfield threat. With Jameis Winston suspended for the first three games of the 2018 season, the outlook for Jackson again takes a dip as Fitzpatrick will utilize the tight end position as well as feeding Mike Evans. This season looks shaky again for Jackson and the Bucs in what is most likely his last season with the team.
