Derrius Guice To Start, Adrian Peterson Could Be Healthy Scratch

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden plans to start running back Derrius Guice in Week 1 on Sunday against the Eagles, but he hasn't decided whether the team will dress two more or three more running backs. Adrian Peterson could be the odd man out this weekend as a healthy scratch. Guice is the younger back and has much more upside, so it makes sense to let him handle more work in 2019, and it looks like it'll happen right away. Still, Guice is coming off a lost year to a torn ACL, is running behind a bad offensive line and has a matchup in Week 1 that could see the 'Skins fall behind big early. Guice will be an RB3/flex with limited upside to start the year.
