Denny Hamlin A Strong Contender At Richmond
4 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin will start from the seventh position in Saturday night's Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond Raceway. Hamlin comes into Richmond after a disappointing 13th-place finish at Darlington. Hamlin has enjoyed some success at Richmond in the past, winning three races. In 27 career starts, Hamlin has those three wins, 13 top-fives, and 17 top-10 finishes. Hamlin has also scored six top-five finishes in his last seven starts, including a victory in 2016. Hamlin is the most expensive driver on the DFS slate, and that may make him tough to choose for lineups. While he has a great track record, some position differential upside, and has been one of the two best drivers in 2020, a salary this high severely hampers the remainder of lineups. Look for value with another high-end driver for this race.
