Delon Wright 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoDallas Mavericks guard Delon Wright is set to be the Mavs starting point guard this upcoming season and looks to a solid counterpart to Luka Donic in the backcourt. Wright exploded last season after being moved midseason to the Grizzlies and in the 13 games he started he posted numbers of 14.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.6 blocks and 0.8 makes from three in 36.7 minutes a night. We do not expect this type of production this season from Wright, but there is not any reason we do not see a 12/4/4 type line. We can assume Kristaps Porzingis will take some nights off this season and this could make Wright the second or third option is some units. Wright is worth a look in the seventh or eighth rounds with the speculation he does indeed breakout this season.
