Dee Eskridge Stays Home Wednesday
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that rookie wide receiver Dee Eskridge (head) will not practice on Wednesday. Eskridge is in the concussion protocol after suffering a head injury in his NFL debut in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. Before his injury, he carried the ball twice for 22 yards and had one catch for six yards. The 24-year-old is intriguing in Seattle's new-look offense, but he'll be hard to trust in his rookie year unless one of DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett miss time with injury. If Eskridge can't clear the concussion protocol and play in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, Freddie Swain would likely start in three-receiver sets.
