David Njoku Lands On Week 5 Injury Report
3 years agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) is on the Week 5 injury report after missing practice on Wednesday. On the season, Njoku has seven catches on 10 targets for a 111 yards, which leads the team's tight ends. His 10 targets are tied with Harrison Bryant, while Austin Hooper leads with 16 targets. If Njoku were to sit out this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, Hooper and Bryant would see more opportunities. In this run-first offense, a three-headed tight end committee approach isn't good for fantasy purposes. Hooper remains the most intriguing of the trio, but he'll continue being a low-ceiling, touchdown-dependent TE2, even against a Chargers defense that has allowed 257 receiving yards and three touchdowns to tight ends through four games.
