Dan Quinn to Take Over Defensive Coordinator Duties
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said on Monday that he will take over as the team's defensive coordinator, starting in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins in Madrid, Spain, according to JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington. Quinn said that defensive coordinator Joe Whitt "took the news like a pro." The Commanders will make the move after surrendering 44 points to the Detroit Lions in the Week 10 blowout loss. Washington has now lost five straight games, with the last four of them coming by a margin of 20-plus points. Through 10 weeks in 2025, the Commanders defense just hasn't been able to slow anybody down, allowing 28 points per game, the fourth-most in the NFL. Injuries haven't been kind to that side of the ball, either.
