Damien Martinez 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Will Compete For RB3 Role
Damien Martinez received quite a bit of hype in this year's draft cycle... before he was drafted. Now, he's currently 4th on his team's depth chart, behind running backs Kenneth Walker III, Zach Charbonnet, and Kenny McIntosh. Martinez is a big, powerful running back that ran a surprisingly fast 40-yard dash time and had a productive final season at the University of Miami, but he's unlikely to leapfrog both "Charbs" and Walker in Year 1. Perhaps he could see some usage as a goal-line back, owing to his excellent size (6-foot-0, 217 pounds), but he might have to rely on injuries to get meaningful usage. If the Seahawks expect him to leapfrog McIntosh, though, and injury to Walker or Charbonnet could make things more interesting. Then again, when Walker is injured, his backup takes the lion's share of snaps, and that hasn't left much meat on the bone for the RB3 in the past few seasons. Martinez is a decent dynasty super-late-round dart throw, but off the fantasy radar in redraft leagues.
