Dalvin Cook Viewed As Game-Time Decision
3 years agoUpdating previous reports, Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (shoulder) is being viewed as a "game-time decision" for Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a league source. Cook will work out before the game, at which time the Vikings will decide if he's good enough to play after dislocating his left shoulder and tearing his labrum in Week 12. He did not play last Sunday. NFL's Tom Pelissero reported Thursday morning that Cook is trending towards playing Thursday night. If Cook plays, he'll be more of a risky RB2 and could see backup Alexander Mattison steal a lot of valuable touches. With Cook sidelined in last week's loss to the Detroit Lions, Mattison had 22 carries for 90 yards and a touchdown and added three receptions for 34 yards through the air.
