Cordarrelle Patterson Designated To Return To Practice
2 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) was designated to return to practice off Injured Reserve on Wednesday following a left knee scope. It opens a 21-day window for the Falcons to officially activate Patterson from IR, but he's not guaranteed to return this weekend against the Los Angeles Chargers. The 31-year-old versatile weapon last played in Week 4 and had 58 carries for 340 yards and three touchdowns and four receptions for 28 yards as the primary back before going on the shelf. Rookie Tyler Allgeier and Caleb Huntley have been splitting the backfield duties ever since, but Patterson should eventually reclaim lead-back duties in Atlanta when he's fully healthy. If for some reason Patterson remains available on your league's waiver wire, pick him up immediately.
