Cole Caufield Goes For Three Points In Saturday's Win
2 years agoMontreal Canadiens winger Cole Caufield had one of his best games of the season Saturday against Philadelphia, contributing with two goals and an assist in a 5-4 shootout win. He notched a power-play in the first period and brought the drama in the third, scoring a game-tying goal with only three seconds left to play. Caufield fired off a game-high six shots on goal in the contest and had four further efforts miss the target in nearly 23 minutes of action. The 21-year-old is developing really nicely for the Canadiens and has picked up 11 goals and eight assists in 18 games this season. He reached his 38th goal in his 95th career game and only three players among those to debut with Montreal in the past 80 years have lit the lamp more prior to their 100th game.
