Clay Holmes Knocks Down Third Save
9 months agoNew York Yankees closer Clay Holmes collected his league-leading third save of the season in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Houston Astros. Holmes allowed a pair of hits but managed to escape unscathed to solidify the Yankees sweep. The 31-year-old has been a bit shaky in his appearances so far this season, allowing five hits with no strikeouts, but he has gotten the job done. He should have a pretty long leash on the closer's job as he was solid last year in the role.
