Christian Yelich Exits Early on Sunday
Christian Yelich (hand) exited Sunday's contest against the Philadelphia Phillies early due to a right-hand contusion. Yelich was hit by a pitch in the opening frame. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor their status leading up to their next contest on Monday evening against the Cincinnati Reds. Yelich has enjoyed an impressive surge at the plate over the last two weeks. In his last eight contests, the 33-year-old has posted a stellar .472/.513/.917 slash line with one double, five home runs, and two stolen bases. Through 57 games this season, Yelich has held a .233/.317/.423 slash line with 12 home runs and 10 stolen bases. If Yelich were to miss a period of time, fantasy managers should expect Jake Bauers to see more opportunities in the starting nine.
