Christiaan Bezuidenhout comes to La Quinta for the first time this week for The American Express. The 27-year-old South African had a strong showing last week at The Sony Open. Bezuidenhout gained 4.7 strokes from tee-to-green at Waialae while finishing in 17th place. Bezuidenhout is known as a great iron player and strong putter. Those skills will come in handy this week, as ball-striking is an important ability at La Quinta. The course here also seems to fit his style, as he has other solid performances at Pete Dye courses.
