Chris Herndon IV Out This Week
5 years agoNew York Jets tight end Chris Herndon IV (hamstring), who suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain while running routes last Friday, is out this week and likely next week, according to a source. Herndon's injury isn't believed to be major, so his absence isn't expected to be long. The Jets tight end was hoping to make his season debut in Week 6 against the Cowboys after serving his four-game suspension. That'll now have to wait, and so will fantasy owners that stashed him hoping that he'd become a viable TE1 with quarterback Sam Darnold (illness) also returning. Ryan Griffin will continue to serve as the team's top tight end, but he shouldn't be in fantasy lineups.
