Chase Young Designated To Return To Practice
2 years agoAs expected, the Washington Commanders designated defensive end Chase Young (knee) to return to practice off the Physically Unable to Perform list on Wednesday. It opens a 21-day window for the team to officially activate Young off the PUP list. The 23-year-old pass-rusher tore both his ACL and MCL last year, so the Commanders are unlikely to rush him back onto the field immediately this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. And once Young does make his 2022 season debut, there's a good chance Washington will keep him on a snap count, making him tough to rely on as a starter in IDP fantasy formats. Young had 7.5 sacks and made the Pro Bowl in his rookie season in 2020 but was a disappointment with just 1.5 sacks in nine games before getting injured in 2021.
