Despite missing the driver's playoffs, Chase Elliott has his mojo back in recent weeks. He now ranks 8th in speed this year with a speed percentile of 68.37%, having recently overtaken teammate Alex Bowman to become the third-fastest Hendrick driver this year. In the last five races, he ranks 5th in speed with a speed percentile of 74.93%, which is even ahead of William Byron. Elliott has also markedly improved in qualifying with three top five starts in the last eight races after failing to qualify better than 6th in his first fourteen starts. Having qualified 7th at Bristol ahead of all but one Chevy, it's clear his speed is returning. Given his history here, he is an excellent dark horse contender for the win.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerRead More News
