Aside from a couple of dustups in the duels, Elliott will start 12th in this year's Daytona 500 and comes off a momentum-building second during the final race at Daytona last season. Elliott has not fared the greatest at the trace despite starting on the pole a couple of times. That being said, this year feels different as the fire was stoked on Thursday night.
