Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott clapped the wall in Turn 1 during practice on Saturday at Pocono Raceway, and he sustained severe backside damage. As a result he will go to a backup car for Sunday's Gander RV 400 at Pocono, starting from the back of the pack. Elliott has been struggling over the past month and a half, and his most impressive recent finish was a fourth-place showing on June 2 in the first stop in Long Pond. Six of his seven career Cup starts at Pocono have resulted in a Top 10 finish, and he has a strong 10.9 Average-Finish Position.--Daniel DobishRead More News
