Chase Burns Continues to Dominate Double-A
Chase Burns continued his impressive run at Double-A on Tuesday evening. In his outing against Double-A Rocket City, the Wake Forest product logged five innings of one-run ball en route to picking up the victory. He allowed just two hits and one free pass. He struck out seven. Since moving up to Double-A, the former second overall pick from last year's MLB Draft has held a stellar 1.88 ERA with a 0.88 WHIP. He has struck out 35 batters in just 24 innings of work and flashed near-perfect control, allowing just three walks. He began his campaign at High-A Dayton, where he logged 11 2/3 innings to the tune of a 3.09 ERA and a 0.86 WHIP. Given his impressive start to the season, Burns remains in play for a second-half MLB debut.
