1 week agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Charlie Morton said that he could consider retirement after the 2020 season, depending on his performance and his health. "If I throw really well and I feel really good, it’s going to be a tough decision. But if either one of those things happen, where I’m not pitching really well, or I’m not healthy, then, yeah, I’m not going to play," Morton said. The 36-year-old went 16-6 with a 3.05 ERA and 1.08 WHIP while striking out a career-high 240 hitters and walking 57 in 194 2/3 innings over 33 starts. He's been excellent the last three years and has been an All-Star the last two seasons. His age should be a concern for fantasy owners, but even if he regresses a bit, Morton should be a useful arm in all formats if he can stay healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
