Carolina Panthers rookie offensive guard Chandler Zavala (neck) had a scary situation in the first half of the Week 5 game against the Detroit Lions when he went down with a neck injury. Zavala had to be carted off and will not return to the contest. The 24-year-old will be taken to a local hospital, but the good news is that he gave a thumbs up as he was being carted off the field in Detroit. Hopefully, Zavala is able to avoid a serious injury that would knock him out for an extended period of time. As of right now, he's probably a long shot to be able to play in Week 6 on the road in Miami against the Dolphins on Sunday, Oct. 15.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
