Florida Panthers forward Carter Verhaeghe scored two goals to help the team to a 3-2 overtime victory in Game 4 against Washington. He tied the game at one 14:08 into the opening period and became the fourth Panther ever to score an overtime goal in the playoffs when 4:57 was played of the extra frame. Verhaeghe produced a total of five shots on goal and handed out three hits in 17:31 of ice time.
