Carson Wentz's Week 17 Status Is TBD
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz's status for the Week 17 game against the Las Vegas Raiders remains to be determined, pending updated COVID-19 protocols. If the NFL's new protocols say that a player only needs to quarantine for five days after a positive test, Wentz could be cleared by Saturday. It was reported earlier on Tuesday that Wentz is unvaccinated and ruled out for Sunday's game against Vegas, but that was under the assumption that he'd be in quarantine for 10 days. If the NFL's mandatory quarantine period is reduced to five games, Wentz could have a shot to play. Either way, those that have been using Wentz as their QB2 in superflex leagues need to make backup plans. If rookie Sam Ehlinger is forced to make his first career start this weekend, the rest of the Colts offensive players must be downgraded in fantasy.
