Carlos Correa Removed from Game after Grabbing Oblique Area
7 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (oblique) was removed from Wednesday's game after being in visible discomfort. In his final at-bat, Correa grabbed his right side near the oblique and was then replaced by Marwin Gonzalez for the final inning. After the game, Correa looked anxious talking to reporters and said that he was "obviously concerned." The All-Star shortstop has been an offensive anchor this year, putting up an .812 OPS with 10 home runs, 35 runs and 39 RBI. If he misses significant time, look for the Astros to use Gonzalez as his long-term fill-in.
