2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers was listed as a full practice participant on Thursday. Akers hasn't played since Week 5 after falling out of favor with the coaching staff, and it was widely expected that he'd be traded before Tuesday's deadline. But the Rams couldn't get what they wanted for him, so Akers will remain with the team and could once again become a big part of this backfield the rest of the season. It's a strange development, but fantasy managers in need of RB help might want to pick Akers up off the waiver wire immediately. It remains to be seen if the 23-year-old will be active in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, however. If Akers is active, it's anyone's guess how the backfield touches will be split between him, Darrell Henderson Jr. and Malcolm Brown.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
