Cal Raleigh Getting A Breather Wednesday
9 months agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh is getting a rest on Wednesday when the club takes on the Cleveland Guardians and left-hander Logan Allen. It's a perfect spot to give the switch-hitter a rest as Raleigh owns a .670 OPS against left-handed pitching versus a .749 OPS against righties for his career. The 27-year-old is off to a slow start this season as he is 4-for-19 without a homer in his 19 plate appearances, striking out in six of them. Despite the slow start, Raleigh remains a high-end catching option as his 57 homers over the last two seasons are the most among all big-league catchers, 11 more than second-place Salvador Perez.
