Bucky Irving Primed for Bounce Back in Favorable Week 16 Matchup
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving has posted consistent rushing totals since returning from injury in Week 13. Over the last three games, Irving has rushed for at least 55 yards and has seen 15 or more attempts in all those contests. However, while he was able to tally at least 16.0 PPR points during Weeks 13 and 14, Irving took a bit of a step back in Week 15, tallying only 8.1 PPR points. In their loss to the Falcons, Irving was kept out of the end zone, which significantly limited his output. Despite this, Irving will head into a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Week 16, suggesting he is primed for a bounce-back. The Panthers have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to running backs this season. The only downside to starting Irving is that Rachaad White and Sean Tucker are likely going to remain in the mix as well, as both took valuable touches away from Irving on Thursday, in the passing game and in the red zone. This backfield is slowly becoming a three-headed committee that isn't favorable to fantasy managers. Despite the potential headache, Irving should remain the lead back and still carry RB1 upside in this very favorable matchup.
