Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter provided injury updates on infielders Engelb Vielma (knee) and Luis Sardinas (back) and outfielder Colby Rasmus (hip) prior to Thursday's game, according to Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com. Dubroff reports that Vielma will have surgery on his right knee, but it is not believed to be a season-ending procedure. Meanwhile, Rasmus and Sardinas are progressing well in their recovery, according to Showalter, and they are close to returning to action in extended spring training games. Vielma and Sardinas won't have much impact in fantasy, but Rasmus could be an interesting waiver wire add in deeper leagues if he can fully recover from the hip injuries that have plagued him over the last few seasons.--Michael
