Broncos Put Jerry Jeudy, Ronald Darby On Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos are placing wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle) and cornerback Ronald Darby (hamstring) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday, according to a source. Jeudy is expected to miss four to six weeks after suffering a right high-ankle sprain in the Week 1 win over the New York Giants. The second-year wideout caught six of seven targets for a team-high 72 yards in the opener, though, and he needs to be stashed in all fantasy formats as the team's No. 2 pass-catcher. Tim Patrick and KJ Hamler, who are expected to start in three-receiver sets, will both be attractive waiver-wire pickups this week. Darby played all 61 defensive snaps in Week 1 and could be back after his three-week window is up. No. 9 overall pick Patrick Surtain II is now expected to step into the starting lineup in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. After a strong showing in the opener, Denver's defense will be a strong play for fantasy managers.
