Broncos Expected To Be Without Their Offensive Coordinator
3 years agoDenver Broncos offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur is in the league's COVID-19 protocols after a positive test and is not expected to coach in the Week 10 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to sources. If Shurmur isn't cleared by Sunday, quarterbacks coach Mike Shula will call the plays on Sunday while also communicating with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater during the game. Running backs coach Curtis Modkins and offensive line coach Mike Munchak also have experience calling plays. Denver's offense put up a season-high 30 points in the upset win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9 and are 18th in the NFL in total offense and 22nd in scoring at 20.8 points per game. They'll be facing an Eagles defense that is in the middle of the pack in terms of total yards allowed per game (355.3) in 2021.
