Broncos Defense Solid, But Not Spectacular Against Bolts
4 years agoThe Denver Broncos Defense held the division-rival Chargers to just 19 points and just one offensive touchdown in the 19-16 Week 16 loss, but they didn't do a whole lot for fantasy managers in the process. The Broncos defense once again failed to record a takeaway against rookie quarterback Justin Herbert, but they did hold the impressive first-year signal-caller to 21-for-33 passing, 253 yards and only one touchdown on the day. They were able to get to Herbert for just two sacks on the afternoon with pass-rusher Bradley Chubb out with an injury. Denver's D has been able to generate a pretty decent pass rush minus Von Miller this season, but they just aren't getting enough takeaways to matter in fantasy. They'll be a low-upside unit to close out the year against the division-rival Raiders in Week 17.
