Broncos Defense Looks To Slow Down Explosive Chiefs Offense
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos defense has a tall task ahead of them on Sunday night against a Kansas City Chiefs offense that has looked more explosive in recent weeks. On the bright side, Denver's D has allowed 17.8 points per game this year, third-fewest in the NFL. They limited a strong Los Angeles Chargers offense to only 13 points last week, with rookie cornerback Patrick Surtain II picking off two passes (and returning one for a TD). And the return of pass-rusher Bradley Chubb last week will certainly make them better down the stretch. But most fantasy managers will be avoiding the Broncos defense/special teams this week solely because of who they are facing. Denver's D has the talent to slow Patrick Mahomes and Company down, but ending their 11-game losing streak to the division rivals won't be easy on the road with KC coming off their bye.
