Brock Purdy Dealing With Minimal Soreness
1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterbacks coach Brian Griese said that quarterback Brock Purdy (elbow) is throwing roughly 110 passes each of the two days he practices at training camp. Griese is encouraged that Purdy is dealing with minimal soreness after his throwing sessions. "We just need to build up the stamina, get him back into the flow," Griese said. Purdy had offseason right-elbow surgery, but all accounts of his rehab have gone well to this points, so barring a setback in the preseason, he's tracking towards being San Fran's starter under center in Week 1 of the regular season. The 23-year-old earned the starting gig with a solid performance in his rookie season. Purdy, if healthy, will be a low-end QB2 option in fantasy leagues that start two signal-callers.
