Brian Johnson Expected To Become Eagles Offensive Coordinator
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson is expected to become the team's next offensive coordinator after Shane Steichen left the team to become the Indianapolis Colts' head coach. "The offensive coordinator is going to be Brian Johnson, that I don't think there's any question there. That you can take to the bank basically," ESPN's Adam Schefter said on 97.5 The Fanatic on Wednesday. Johnson has helped quarterback Jalen Hurts become one of the league's best QBs since joining the team in 2021. Hurts has also known Johnson since playing youth football in Texas. Before joining the Eagles, Johnson was the QBs coach at the University of Florida in 2018 and 2019. He played at the University of Utah as a QB and was named the Sugar Bowl MVP in 2009.
