Brett Anderson, Blake Treinen Shut Down Halos
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson allowed just three hits with two walks while striking out four batters across six scoreless innings to post a win Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels. He was very efficient in the quality start, throwing 56 of his 96 pitches for strikes. Reliever J.B. Wendelken allowed two runs - one earned - and two hits in his 1 1/3 innings of relief, but closer Blake Treinen came on for a five-out save, his first of the season. The Angels and A's wrap up the set on Sunday afternoon.
