Brandon Woodruff To Make First Rehab Start Saturday
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) will make his first minor-league rehab start on Saturday for High-A Wisconsin on the road. Out since the middle of April with a right-shoulder injury, fantasy managers should be getting Woodruff back from the injured list soon, although it probably won't be until August given his long layoff. The 30-year-old starter will have a starting rotation spot waiting for him when he's reinstated, although fantasy managers may want to temper expectations early on. If for some reason he's available on your league's waiver wire, scoop him up immediately. Woodruff allowed just one earned run while striking out 12 in 11 1/3 innings over two starts earlier this year before his injury struck.
